Module 10

Introduction

Welcome to Module 10! In this module you will learn about Spreadsheets. You may have some experiences with spreadsheets by using the software Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Spreadsheets are used to organize, arrange, calculate, and manipulate data. Spreadsheets are made up of columns and rows and can hold hundreds and hundreds of rows and columns of data. In this module we will learn some spreadsheet vocabulary, how to add data, organize data, calculate data, and manipulate data to complete different tasks.

Before beginning on this module, make sure you have read through this entire introduction, and read the Student “I Can” Statements and Module Tasks below:

Student “I Can” Statements

  1. I can understand the vocabulary associated with technology based skills in order to complete program tasks.
  2. I can use the appropriate terminology and skills when discussing program tasks.
  3. I can understand the basic vocabulary, skills, and functions of different applications, software, and technologies.

Module Tasks

  1. Read the Module 10 Introduction, Student “I Can” Statements, and Module Tasks.
  2. Review the What Are Spreadsheets? section.
  3. Complete the Spreadsheet Activity.
  4. Submit a Spreadsheet Certificate Request for your Professional Development Portfolio.
