Introduction

Welcome to Module 8! One of the last steps towards professionalism is knowing how to dress. Your appearance is important because it gives off the first impression for a potential employer, a client, a coworker, etc. While we do not need to judge others based on appearance in life in general, it is important to know that in the professional world your professional dress and appearance can say a lot about you.

When you look nice you demonstrate that you care, that you are motivated, and that you want your work to be successful. So whether you are applying for a new job, trying to get a new client for your firm, or working in a professional environment with other professionals in your field; it is important that you look and act your best!

Before beginning on this module, make sure you have read through this entire introduction, and read the Student “I Can” Statements and Module Tasks below:

2. Watch the Professional Dress video.
3. Complete the Professional Dress Activity.
4. Submit a Professional Dress Certificate Request for your Professional Development Portfolio.
